The San Anselmo permitting process needs drastic improvement. I am tired of seeing empty storefronts stalled in this process. My experience as a homeowner is a painstakingly slow process where the town lacks expertise and outsources review ($$). After permits were approved and work was done in accordance with approved plans, the job couldn't be closed out due to recommendations the inspector had (not in the plans). It is literally just obstruction to improving our homes and community.
