Continuing from comment on Proposed Agenda Items: Ideally long term, we'd like to see speed limits in the downtown area being reduced to 20 mph universally, given the amount of pedestrian and bike traffic. This has recently been done in San Rafael near the downtown area. Short term, we would also propose putting the Speed Limit notification trailers along some of these streets (e.g., Center / Broadway in Fairfax). Esp. given that we see ZERO enforcement of speed limits in the downtown area.
